Let’s start the New Year with the right foot!
Seriously, who else is excited about the new start we will have on Friday? I’m so READY. I always love the New Year, and this year I am especially looking forward to changes.
The start of January 1st is so great because it really invites us all to make big changes. I know that people don’t usually stick to their New Year’s resolutions for very long, but I think it’s so cool that we have this moment when everyone is thinking together about setting their goals for 2021.
How do you want to improve the coming year? What changes do you want to make? How do you plan to finish 2021?
It’s exciting to think about it! But it’s even more exciting to achieve all the things that you dream about now. It’s hard to do, for sure, but it’s possible, I swear it! I know this because I literally changed my life by setting goals and sticking to them.
To show you what worked for me, I thought of posting my resolutions for the New Year — and my advice to keep them.
MY GOAL FOR 2021
I’ve been thinking about my New Year’s resolutions for a while. I have 50 things I want to achieve this year, but I have reduced them. The problem with goals is, if you have too many or if they are too hard to track, you will really struggle to get there. So I reduced my goal for 2021 to these four things:
COMPLETE SPF 30 100%
If you’ve been a part of our LSF community for a while, you’ve probably heard of microgoals. Setting yourself very big goals is great, but it’s SO difficult to climb a mountain without following its path. So I like to break big things down into smaller, more doable microboals.
For me, the main goal is to stay in shape and finish 2021 with a stronger and healthier feeling, the key. But I will take things step by step. I divide this larger goal for 2021 into microgoals throughout the year. In January, this means completing our SPF 30 Challenge. My goal is that I do 100% during the 30 days and mark my calendar in the LSF app every day. I know that if I start the year this way, I will be preparing for success in 2021!
I use two things to help me here. The app, obv, but I also use my LSF 2021#lens planner. Because it’s a visual reminder when I have it on my desk or countertop, it helps me stay in charge.
CREATE MORE VIDEO CONTENT
This piece of my goal 2021 is for you, girls! I LIKE how much they all interact with my videos, and I know that the video connection has been very important this year. So I want to make a series of additional videos with a very regular frame rate during the New Year. Here are my goals, girls, so help me with this!
In 2021, I want to:
2-3 Workouts for Instagram Every Week
1 to 2 TikToks per day
1 additional YouTube vlog per week
A lot of good video content will meet you! I plan the video creation in my LSF planner to help me stay on the right track and at the top.
IMPROVING MY POSTURE
Truth be told, I’ve always had problems with my posture. It’s so hard to change something that you’ve been doing all your life, you know? But next year I really want to correct it. I have an old shoulder health-issue and the pain does not stop. I think this is because I spent much of 2020 in front of my computer and on my phone.
I include posture correction in my goal for 2021, that’s for sure, but I have to get rid of that over time. I put reminders in my LSF planner to work on all year round. Without these little memories, it would be easy to forget. With my planner, I will have my posture on my head all the time so I can keep improving it!
START 2 HUGE SECRET PROJECTS!
!
Oh, girl, I have something to cook for you in the New Year! We’ve started so much this year, it’s honestly incredible. But it’s like, why stop here? I want my goal for 2021 to be big, so I have two BIG things in stock for 2021. Stay tuned!!!
TIPS FOR SETTING YOUR GOALS FOR 2021
Okay, you can probably say that my LSF scheduler is a big part of my resolutions. And that’s because it helps me to do things that, as I know, help my New Year’s resolutions to persevere. Here are some of my top tips for setting your goals for 2021-and stick to them!
Do not forget
The thing about the resolutions is that they are really exciting in January, but in November they are probably completely ready. If you really want to work on something all year round, it’s important to keep it on your brain. My recommendation is to search your LSF scheduler and write this target on random pages to keep getting reminders.
Break it
Micro-goals again! Say that you want to lose 10 pounds this year. Instead of just hoping to get there by December, decide to lose a pound a month. Again, you can write it in your 2021 GOAL PLANNER to keep track.
